We Would Glisten As It Fell

It started falling...
As the warmth of your hand faded into a memory,
A trace of what once was my favourite temperature,
My favourite smell.
Our flowers had delicate petals; all dried
Started falling in my coffee cup in a coffee shop
Where we first met.
Your gaze started to lose the love I saw,
A craze of what once was our total optimism, our eyes locked in
An enchanting spell.
Approaching towards the window, curtains down,
Hiding every world from my view, my tears surrendered to the weight
As I knelt.
A love, once vibrant, once heavy and deep,
Fell upon us, as a burden we can't keep.
Running from nightmares when we try to sleep.
A mountain of emotions broke.
And I would glisten in a storm full of snow
Dimmed forever as it happened. I know
The fault in our hearts was to not letting go.
When a sky of our pessimism spoke.
How can we keep a sky where stars no longer there?
Borrowed a cradle to move mountains that scare.
We had to let it end and it fell.
Finally...
Our glistening eyes were out of its spell.
